It may sound funny, but another thing that motivates me every day to work hard is my Scarlet Macaw, Tranz. Me and Tranz have a very strong bond that is irreplaceable. It is a blessing to be able to cherish such a loving friendship with her. The reason as to why she motivates me is because I want to make the world not only a better place for other birds, but all animals as well. By being able to donate a portion of each sale I’m ultimately getting closer to my long-term goal which is to make a difference for every living creature in this world. (The pothead planters pictured are made by me!)

I view myself as a spiritual, positive, and a humble person. I’m very alert to nature and the environment around me. I wake up every morning motivated to make the world a better place and make sure that every person around me is happy.

Veganism does play a huge role in my life. A year and a half ago, I decided to start off by becoming vegetarian and that later helped me transition into the lifestyle that I currently live (a vegan lifestyle). I felt like it was going to be very difficult, but it was easier than what I have thought. Not only do I feel healthier and happier, but I feel alive. I am proud to say that that I don’t take part, nor support the slaughtering or abuse of ANY helpless animal and I believe with time we all can truly join together to make the world a better and peaceful place!

"The Clayat brand is inspired by nature, which has been spinning its own wheel of beauty for billions of years. When I first started taking ceramic classes, I would have never thought that my love for pottery would become this strong. A door opened, allowing me to tap into my ancestral Palestinian heritage of potters and crafters. Truth be told, I FELL IN LOVE with it! Ceramics became my therapy and as the years went on, it started to truly become what I was destined to do.

The purpose of Clayat is to be in touch with nature. I am passionate about using art to spread awareness so that we may all work together to create a sustainable and vibrant future. Using industry-level tools and technology, I work with each client along the journey of creation. From cup to vase, I am determined to provide you with the highest quality functional and handmade products at an affordable price, and which will last a lifetime.

I have been working out of San Diego, CA for 5 years, providing custom handmade pieces for individuals and brands alike, with an average turnaround of 10-14 days. My heart is in my work and I would be delighted to collaborate on a handmade piece which suits your spirit, with detail down to the finest point.
